Health Care

What is it?

Comprehensive health services are available to all women veterans including primary care, specialty care, mental health care, and reproductive health care services.  VA provides management of acute and chronic illnesses, preventive care, contraceptive services, menopause management, Pap smears and mammography.  Gynecology and maternity care are available and referrals are made to appropriate clinicians in the community for services that VA is unable to provide.

Who qualifies?

All women veterans who meet the VA medical care requirements for all veterans.

How to get it?

Complete VA Form 10-10EZ, Application for Medical Benefits. Woman veterans who are interested in receiving care at VA should contact the nearest VA Medical Center and ask for the Women Veterans Program Manager. Women Veterans Program Managers are designated at every VA medical center across the nation to advise and advocate for women veterans.
