Driver License

What is it?

Texas Driver Licenses are furnished free of charge to veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities.

Who qualifies?

A disabled veteran qualifies to receive a state issued driver license free of charge if his/her Department of Veterans Affairs disability rating is 60% or higher.  

How to get it?

Application forms may be obtained from Department of Public Safety's license examining offices located throughout the state. Proof of eligibility must accompany application.
